Solution for stuttering/FPS drops? (For the love of god.)
Been more than 3 years now. I already did many things since then: Changed MOBO; Upgraded my RAM from 4gb to 8gb; Changed my processor from dual core to a quad core; Applied thermal paste on both my CPU and GPU; Factory reset it twice; Changed from Windows 7 to 10; Disabled V-Sync; Enabled V-Sync; Enabled DX11; Disabled DX11; Changed AllowJobStealing from 1 to 0; Disabled every graphical thing; Enabled every graphical thing and NONE of these ever made any difference. Not even newer games run like this so don't try to blame my computer.

The solution is a new official optimization patch that won't happen, so the only thing to do is getting used to it- if you search the forum you can notice (~micro)stuttering is a common issue and I also experienced it a bit, something with streaming assets.

Anyway, I do not recall any FPS issues. HR is rather old and wasn't very demanding even on the release.
List your PC specs, sounds like underpowered configuration might be the issue, even if in theory it should be enough for a game like that.

same, i wanted to replay it but i just cant, its impossible, i have a rtx4080 and this is a stutter fest

I wonder what exactly is causing this for so many people and why i am not one of them. The game runs silky smooth for me.

All settings on max except Vsync turned off. (but that doesn't seem to be the cause since OP is having these issues even with Vsync off)

I am very curious.

There is no solution the only solution is to download The Complete Edition from somewhere...thats what I did just to see what the whole buzz was about (read the negative reviews for this game) and everyone is right, the complete edition is 144fps LOCKED (im on 144hz) NOT. ONE. STUTTER....this version is a straight up BURN. The Directors Cut IS the Wii U version ported to PC...I have the Complete Edition and I am gettign 144fps locked with vsync on and 350+ fps with vsync off with DX11 enabled all settings on 16x Filter , all that BUTTER SMOOTH, its insane CRAZY!....GET THE COMPLETE EDITION!!! Read the Negative Reviews for this game, thats what I did. Thats how I found out about The Complete Edition. So dont listen to "know it alls" like .:Jj:. who act like they know what they are talking about but they really dont have a clue what they are talking about.

Runs completely fine for me even with Ruby's ENB mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/deusexhumanrevolution/mods/19) with Reshade on top of that (iMMerse Pro shaders). And I play the game in 4K.

Not sure what your issue might be. Is your exe file set to performance in Windows GPU settings? Or you can try DXVK - it changes DX9/11 to Vulkan.

try turn on/off Game mode in Windows 10 settings, turn on high priority, it might be help

This is what did the trick for me: one registry fix (setting AllowJobStealing to 0 on HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos\Deus Ex: HRDC), using Timer Resolution (setting it to 0.5), using Rivatuner's framerate limiter (to 60) and, believe it or not, setting texture filtering to trilinear instead of anisotropic (can't notice the difference honestly). This eliminated the stuttering for me entirely (constant freezing when looking and moving around). I'm on AMD, but if you are on Nvidia, the universal solution is to set V-sync to fast on the GPU's control panel.

I use DXVK, though it still freezes for some secs when I start a new sector.

What do you mean? The game doesn’t start at all?

If that’s so, it’s because of high cpu core count. You need to download unofficial patcher from here: https://www.nexusmods.com/deusexhumanrevolution/mods/28

It can also fix other issues like scaling on high resolution monitors.
Gonsnakex Oct 11, 2023 @ 12:02pm
use dxvk, it fixes the stuttering
DEUSANAVIT Nov 14, 2023 @ 12:30am
What is DXVK? Where can I download it? How do I use it?

Oh, so the stutters are a game feature, who would have thought.
