Pacifist bosses???
If I want to do a pacifist playthrough, what am I supposed to do when I get to the bosses? I haven't found any way to non-lethaly beat any of them, so I would love some input from someone who's done it! Thx :)

There's no way to do this. The Pacifist achievement exempts the bosses.

Like Kauldwin said...You can kill bosses and it won't effect the achievement.

Since others have told you that the bosses are not included when it comes to the Pacifist achievement, let me recommend the equipment you might need for when bosses come up. Basically get an Assault Rifle and hold onto it. If you're grabbing everything in sight as well, the ammo for the rifle (along with other weapons you might wanna have just in case) will stack up to really big amounts.

Though, I talk as somebody that played the vanilla version of this game, so I don't know if it's been changed here.

The Director's Cut actually did do a pretty good job with giving you more options for handling the bosses, especially as a stealth/non-lethal build.

The Typhoon is another excellent way to get through the boss fights quickly. It's a couple Praxis points to fully upgrade, but two or three shots will take out every boss, and the size of the ammo means it takes up the least space in your inventory for a "heavy" weapon.

Thanks for all the helpful input guys! I just finished the game for the first time, and I loved it. Will not be long until I try going pacifist!

Uhm, while we're on the topic of pacifist, I have one more question... Does it matter what I do in the prologue, or do I have to sneak trough that without killing anyone as well?

AFAIK, the prologue does count. Some people will tell you yes, some people will tell you no. Either way, the achievement is notoriously glitchy, so to be safe, I would stealth it. I'd also save a lot and probably try to avoid enemies where possible. I ended up basically doing a no-contact run (except for bosses and saving Malik).

Seems good to me, I prefer a stealthy playstyle anyway. I might just not save her for my pac playthrough though, that's a lot easier. She is a necessary sacrifice lol

My question is whether or not this applies to the final bit at Panchea. Because I did a non-lethal run and didn't get the achievement, so either I killed someone accidentally and didn't notice, or turning off the life support wasn't a good idea, to which I then wonder how I'm suppose to do the final part without flipping that switch XD

Yes, the Panchea fight counts. Basically you need to bring the laser rifle with you and shoot Zhao through the glass while cloaked. You can finish the boss battle in about 30 seconds without having to hack the system or kill any crazies.

I used a fully upgraded revolver with explosive rounds on bosses I was happy with it.
My first attempt at a passive play I killed the guys at the start so I couldn't get the achievement I found out but keept stunning instead of killing.

I think I go for Pacifist twice. What's my advices: bosses doesn't count like the achievement cleary states, though Burke is NOT a boss, so not kill him. You can kill the bosses without any shoot even once, expect the final one. Just use the computer, turrets, hack them and avoid them. Waaay to easy! The prologue maybe counts, just avoid the guards and run. But stil lhas a few quest where you can save and let die certain NPCs.
SPOILER
You can talk out the injured detective to for augmention, I did that. But let Malik die, since too hard to get out in time non-letal all soldiers and deal with the mech. However, saving Malik is optional. The final battle with Zhao is tricky. Watch the guards, since mech go crazy to and electrified floor can kill the crazy guards. You must knock them-out, move them inside a safe zone. I also tried to kill Zhao with a stungun, but just one shot enough kill her with a pistol.

For the last fight, just get the laser rifle. You can cloak yourself and stand in front of the glass - the laser rifle will shoot Zhao through the glass and you don't have to mess with the security system or worry about killing the crazies.
