do i get my augments back?
in the mission where you get captured on that bell tower boat, all augments are taken off and you have to get them back. when i tried getting them back i only got the praxis points i was saving up and not all the really cool augments i had before i snuck onto the boat. do i get them back later in the mission? losing those really cool augments made me lose the will to carry on in the game. :(

Yeah, there's a place at the end of the Missing Link mission to pick up your extra gear and Praxis points. The Missing Link was originally a separate game (hence the reset augs) and they kept that aspect when they combined it with the base game.

so that means that means that if i reach the end then i will get every single augment i had before the mission? if i do use the praxis points that i was given at the start, will the augments i get back give me back that praxis i spent on getting it earlier? (example: i use a praxis point to get back the reflex augment for beating up 2 people in 1, but then i reach the end and get my augments back, does the praxis i spent come back so i can use it again or does it disapear?)

You get the praxis points back plus what you gained with ML (there is a limit BTW 65 or so) but you do have to assign them again. Think of it as a reset.

And that much ammo you wont carry it all.

The missing link part of the game is considered a totally different game, praxis points are not carried from the regular game to the missing link, and from missing link to regular game. When you start the missing link, your augments are gone and when you finish, what ever augment points you had when you entered are what you finish with.

So lets say you had 50 augments when you started missing link. After you are done, the game adds up what you current have (gained in the missing link) and then in the supply box at the end the difference is given back to you. So if you gained 30 augments in missing link, then the box will have 20 praxis kits waiting, to give you back your 50 total. You DO NOT get both your starting praxis points plus the ones from missing link, they are 2 totally different games. Think of missing link as deus ex lite. If you have 50 augments and gain 20 praxis points during missing link, you exit the dlc with 50, not 70.

Sad, but the DLC is really just for enjoyment, not benefit. The good thing is the Directors cut lets you take your regular game weapons in so thats good, plus at the end you can mix and match and take what ever gear you want back into the regular game. But sadly you can't share praxis points between the 2. I've played through the game 3 times and missing link is a totally seperate adventure.

If your on a PC thats is ok you can use a mod to give yourself all the augments you want if your a bit peeved afterwards, I sure was before i did some online homework about the DLC, sadly the consoles don't get such a benefit. My suggestion from playing the game a few times...

1) Just enjoy the DLC and continue the game after, by that time anyway usually any augments you are missing aren't that good and you won't use them anyway, so just keep playing.

2) Take advantage of the last part of the DLC and once you leave the boat and enter the base try and complete it with minimal hacking, don't pick up any praxis kits, leave foes, etc so after your finished you can go back for a little experience and points.

alright so i can use the praxis points i was given at the beginning and at the end it will reset and give it back?

As others have said above, at the end of the mission you will receive the difference between the total amount of Praxis kits you had BEFORE you were captured and what you accumulated during the mission; you will not be able to max out on Praxis kits. That said, if you are a exploration nut like I am, you will only be missing a handful of augmentations by the time you reach Singapore, so it would make very little difference.

You should also receive all or most of the ammunition and supplies you had before you were captured, but if you had a full inventory before the mission, you won't be able to take everything if you also grabbed other stuff during the DLC (you'll have to leave it behind).

For a challenge, try for the Factory Zero achievement, where you complete the DLC without activating any Praxis kits or use weapons/grenades/mines. For an even greater challenge, complete Factory Zero and the All of the Above achievements in the same play-through.

yea my stealth playthrough I was only 10-12 points short on maxing when i hit missing link, and my 2nd shootem playthrough was about 14-15 points short. At that point you really already have all the augments you will need and the last dozen or so are just filler junk like enemy targetting, stealth when jumping/running, etc.

What abou tall my precious ammo??
Vassago Rain Jul 17, 2015 @ 5:20am
You get everything back.

Your weapons and 'tools' are gotten after the initial boat sneak sequence, in an ammo box where you grab your sneak suit.

At the end of the game, there is a huge crate that holds all the ammo and other items you had. Talking to the hacker at the end restores all your praxis points, to a point.

Despite the big flashing crates, people constantly miss them.

Just come across this and I think it's really stupidly implemented. Your augmentations should carry over when you start missing link. Way to break the flow of the game + ♥♥♥♥ over everyone's play styles they have build up over the course of HR.

Now I can't hack as many computers as I was able to previously, and my inventory size has been reduced.......

Yeah, that's why they did it the way they did. There are also no explosive magnum upgrades, armor piercing 10mm upgrades, sniper ammo is incredibly rare, typhoon ammo is rarely if ever found, the one merchant never restocks, and guard patrols have tighter patterns and are more aggressive.

well apparently it was meant to be a seperate experience from the main game originally, only to give a little more context and world building. they joined it together in the directors cut for a more smooth transition. but yeah it was super tough at the beginning.
they made the game to be fun not ♥♥♥♥ u over have none of u played a game that makes u a bad ass and takes it away for a bit lol nothing new ps YES u get it all back or it would be a bad game

This seriously messes up my play style. I used the Praxis points you get at the begining of the mission to get just the basic augs. But at the part after the CIC, when your going to some bay, there's a bit of a hidden-ish space behind the pod bay. They put up two ladders and there's a third but between them, there's a shipping crate I can't jump because I didn't have enought Praxis to buy the leg aug.

Complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Now I'm back here throwing around a double crate, trying to get it up there so I can use it as a jump point. n some poor guard on a different level keeps getting spooked by the sound
