using a playstation controller

hi everyone :) i am using my ps5 controller and i have found that some games recognise it as an xbox controller and it can get confusing in the heat of the moment when it comes to prompts i was wondering if anyone knows a fix?

Games weren't really created to utilize Playstation controllers due to them needing custom drivers. I think all you could do is get some stickers for the buttons.

I've had some good experience with Big Picture mode as far as responsiveness & ease of use go. Usually takes some fiddling for the first set-up, but it makes at least PS4 controllers perfectly usable on PC.

But the actual button prompts changing in-game? I think I've seen that in... one game, at least without mods.

And that was Death Stranding. By Hideo 'The Ice-cubes Melt In Real Time ON A PS2 BECAUSE I DEMAND IT' Kojima. So pretty rare beyond the call of duty stuff, alas.

thank you both for your replies :) i haven't been succesful in finding mods to replace the icons for this game and the 'The Ice-cubes Melt In Real Time ON A PS2 BECAUSE I DEMAND IT' Kojima made me chuckle and also The outer worlds recognised my controller was playstation straight off the bat as well, it isnt a big deal i guess i only use my controller when i have my laptop hooked up to my tv.
