most (single player) games do not track you as far as i know, steam is a store, and it uses bank information in order to let you purchase a product, like this game for example

any reason you need to be so aggressive to a yes/no question?

"tracking you". The game is sending achievement data and gameplay data to the Publishers of the game. Most large publishers do the same thing to most games - even single player games. If they know how most people play their games, they can tailor their future games more explicitly or encourage different types of playstyles.

It's nothing sinister. It's not sending your 'homework' folder to the devs, they've already seen all of it themselves, there's no purpose in being so tinfoil about games sending data. You aren't hacked, it's not a virus, it's completely benign data.

Player hacked 47 terminals, killed 19 people with pistol, 12 knockouts with bare hands, shanked 4 people with arm blades, did 8 double takedowns, and tasered 114 people, 4 grenade kills, 3 emp grenades used, and 26 alcohols consumed.

If you look at the EULA, it tells you there what kind of data it's sending.
