Stutter Stutter Stutter only PC Port
unfortunately with amd graphics cards the game suffers from an annoying stutter which makes the experience unplayable i have a rx570 4gb, i just bought the xbox 360 version which does not feature stutter.

I've heard it makes a big difference if you kill the Steam overlay in this game. It's some sort of resource conflict.

Haven't tried it myself, since I have a NVIDIA & don't suffer the stutters, but might be worth a try right?

You also can try to use DXVK with async patch as a last resort and see if that helps.
NEVER USE IT IN ANY MULTIPLAYER GAME.
I didn't tried it myself with this game, it may or may not work.

Grab the tar.gz archive from "Releases" page and extract it. Windows can't extract it itself, so you need something like 7zip or Winrar. Now you should have "x32" and "x64" folders for 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. Try 32-bit first and copy all the .dll-s to the game's folder.
Next you have to
Set the environment variable DXVK_ASYNC=1 or use dxvk.enableAsync = true in dxvk.conf
this is important!

DXVK does not work for the DC version of this game. With it, the game will crash to desktop after launching briefly in DX11, though you can only hear the music. The game won't launch on fullscreen, and minimizing the window only shows the cursor before crashing. DX9 version performs just as bad as usual.

So don't suggest fixes that you never tried yourself.

For AMD users Retrieve the vanilla version as it does not have stutter. The stutter problem for AMD users only affects the director's cut edition

Same problem here but using nvidia. I think it's just a poor pc port.

Edit: It really helped me doing shift+tab ingame and close the steam overlay, I've noticed less stutters.

same here. i just got the game its crazy stuttering and im on a 6700XT R7 3800X its normally locked at 144fps (im on 144hz) sometimes it shoots down to 120
*UPDATE* I turned off steam overlay and droppped it down to 120hz and so far its alot better...im gona turn overlay back on though see if its just the refresh rate. im pretty sure its the refresh rate now though
