Fixing camera stuttering
There are multiple solutions that people have reported work:
- Change the ingame setting "fullscreen" to "no". If you press Alt+↵ Enter the game will go back to fullscreen, but the stuttering should be gone.
- If this doesn't fix stuttering in fullscreen but does fix it in windowed mode for Windows 7 users, right-click 'dxhr.exe' and open the Properties window, then navigate to the Compatibility tab and check 'disable visual themes' and 'disable desktop composition.' This could possibly fix stuttering in fullscreen.
- Stuttering can also be reduced by turning off triple buffering in the game menu.
- The last possible solution would be to use DX11 mode (VSync enabled) and then go in to the registry:
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos\Deus Ex: HRDC
Set D3D11_CREATE_DEVICE_PREVENT_INTERNAL_THREADING_OPTIMIZATIONS to 1.[
Poor performance
Some players have reported poor performance with the Director's Cut version.
Change registry settings[10]
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos\Deus Ex: HRDC
Open dword AllowJobStealing and set it to 0
Nvidia users only: go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos\Deus Ex: HRDC\Graphics and change AtiForceFetch4 to 0
From the game's Pcgamingwiki page. Try one of these, the last one was the one which really helped me out. Couldn't make the stutter gone once and for all though...
So what was your game state after that? Did you get stable 60 no matter what?
I had fixed 75 fps all the time, but the real experience still felt laggy.after changing that regedit parameter it felt slightly better, in the end I wasn't unable to fix it entirely and I went on with it
Apparently these issues aren't as common in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided so maybe ill just skim through some playthroughs of dehr to get an understanding of the story and move on. An ugly shame though, many older games have communities dedicated to them that find fixes or adjustments for every little thing, seems like games from 2010 era don't have something comparable.
No changes to regedit or graphics has fixed it for me. It's just the game is very badly optimized.
Instantly solved the problem for me and had 0 stutter or lag for the rest of the game. Luckily I did this early on.
I have tried this and it doesnt work. Wtf is wrong in with this game
