Use Stealth, hide behind $hit, go to the upper floor drop grenades, most effective is the rocket launcher hitting him from behind (and dont be too far away cause they arent homing rockets!

If you have hacking and heavy loads, you can get a turret and use against him.

I dunno im new to this i just picked whatever looked good...

I usually don't have the armour aug that early in the game. So, I climb the ladder. Run to the opposite end of the upstairs level, and enter the air-duct. Barrett will then loose where I am. After that happens I circle behind him, and shoot him in the back of the head. Then hide back in the air-duct.

You might want to load an ealier save. This will give you a chance to stock up on some ammo and grenades.

There's a revolver in the area before you fight him, and there's a double-barrel shotgun in his boss room. He can only tank about 10 shots from the shotgun, or 15-20 magnum bullets.

Taze him, carry any explosives or the gas canister next to him. Back away and shoot the explosive/gas canister. EZ PZ.

So i actually managed to beat this already, it involved alot of shotgun shells and revolver bullets.

I'm using EMP granades on him and than supressive fire from behind some cover structure. Repeat few times and voila!

Go up the ladder on your left to the first floor. Then throught the ducts to the right. Drop down the ladder to the ground floor again and you will find a yellow gas cylinder. Wait until he is across from you , throw it at his feet and explode it with some machine gun fire. Soften him up with an EMP if you want to.

On my first playthrough I had no issues with him, he went down very fast and I was actually surprised at how easy he was. Immediately upon entering the room I went right and hid behind some pillars, used a shotgun as my weapon of choice, I did have it outfitted with a fire rate, damage and reload speed upgrade. He'd throw grenades at me but the pillars would I guess sustain the blasts completely and he never damaged me with them. It was a simple cat and mouse game. This was done on Give me a Challenge difficulty.

Then just recently, I started playing on Give me Deus Ex difficulty, I stole a rocket launcher during some side mission in the DRB territory and used it during that fight, Barrett took all 4 shots to the face and was still standing, then I used the fully upgraded Typhoon system twice and that was it.

Not a hard fight, easily exploitable if you know what to do, get some weapon, hide behind pillars, be aware of his positioning and it's gonna be easy.
