My favorite playthroughs were definitely the ones where I mixed lethal and non-lethal, run-and-gun and stealth. I like to adjust situationally on the fly. I'm predominantly a stealth player for sure, but there were several moments in the game where it just felt right to switch to a full assault.
If you go with a stealth lethal playthrough, you can still get the stealth experience and make use of a wider range of weapons - the 10mm and the sniper rifle both have silencer upgrades, and the crossbow is pretty fun.
But honestly, the heavy guns take up too much space, and ammo is scarce, so I'd recommend picking a couple you like and upgrading them to the max. Personally, I like the revolver and shotgun for max damage vs inventory space.
Play once in stealth mode (just to learn the lay-out of the game), but then I'd definately recommend a second play-thru as a homicidal maniac...it's just TOO fun not to play that at least once! As long as you're not too worried about NOT getting as many xp/praxis kits.
(Oh...and on a side note...if you play the maniac route, make sure to upgrade Hacking skill (which is generally considered more of a Stealth skill). But turning turrets and bots against your enemies is simply a gas! Great fun to watch the mayhem from a safe spot and see your enemies die in droves
>I have these guns, so I actually don't need to stealth.
>but the game is like, man, somehow, like, totally made for stealth.
>like, man, there's like, this magical aura that means I can't not do stealth, somehow, because reasons.
>so, like, this magical aura somehow forces me to always stealth, even though I don't need to, or want to.
>4/10 game, would not Rambo.
You can only put so many upgrades on weapons. It says in the info screen how upgraded you are.
Yellow ticks are the default. Dark green are how many you can have total. Bright green is how many you have fitted.
stealth is often synomous with pacifist style but you can be a stealthy killer.
Also, it's an RPG for gods sake. Don't worry about lack of inventory space in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RPG. I don't think you get this game at all.
