A few beginner tips
1. When you start a new game at regular difficulty you will start the game with only 2 air filters installed and 2 empty spots. Purchasing 2 additional air filters will greatly improve longevity. I find that stagger pairs works best so you have one pair at 50% and one pair at 100%. It prevents losing all air scrubbing at once as long as you periodically check the air filter health.

2. Put your important loose cargo in the two crates, it is what they are there for. Early on you lose power to gravity and if you don't stow your sensitive electronics parts into the crates they will break when gravity goes off. If you put them in the crate and close the crate the crate can bounce around and they will be safe. Only your important parts like batteries, filters, ccvs should go in there to start.

3. Purchase batteries at different stops and store them in a crate. The $1,000 batteries are better imo as you don't have to replace them as often. I try to prioritize the good batteries into crucial systems like oxygen and gravity.

4. "Just in time" deliveries are just that and you can't show up early. You will be super bored waiting to turn them in.

5. Before you get out of the ship to do repairs come to a full stop or watch your truck go sailing off into space without you as you float in the void.

6. If you are running out of oxygen for whatever reason you can quickly put your suit on and it will give you time to figure out what is wrong.

Just some stuff I figured out playing today, Keep on Truckin! :fedoratip:

Yeah they should add some option to skip time like sleeping in the bed that is in the truck for "just in time deliveries".

Hi there!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a guide. It's great! 🤠

If you get close at map and LPM on next station you will see how much time it takes. Making routes with this feature from station to station it will show in left corner how long does it takes. 30 min I think is for paid fast jumps, regular above 1,5h i think. But yes I made two jumps instead of waiting 45 minutes. Don’t be afraid to be late. I paid 98$ per 2h of being late

#4 is a design problem. You gave us missions that can't be done early, but gave us nothing to do with the extra time, no alternative routes to help align the schedule, and no way to skip time to the proper schedule. My only option in such a delivery is to jump out and back in to the destination system, and by then Time Dilation means you're late.

I recommend to turn off your light when not used to reduce core consumption. Always check weather and if possible set air condition to a minimum. My general core consumption is ~40%
If you are in space to recover some items, turn off your back and main engines, but with main engines remember to not leaving them to long off because they may freeze
