I think beyond just requesting they add co-op gameplany people should think of meaningful ways they can go about adding it to the game. After all-everyone has a different idea of what multiplayer in this game should be.
you're right. making a game multiplayer is a HUGE pain in the A. But we don't need to share tasks, honestly. Just working for the same company would be fun, and really all that is necessary in a game like this. Or even rival companies looking to expand faster than their competitors.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Euro Track Sim said the same thing, so maybe one day who knows! :)
Multiplayer has a bad reputation for being toxic yes.. but ever since covid lockdown days.. single players just felt empty
Granted its a big job to do and its awesome the dev teams focusing on making the core game awesome
Indeed, and thank you for focusing on a good singleplayer.
COOP would be a blast, but its nice to have a good foundation before implementing COOP.
I'm not sure what you're issue is. What's wrong with offering the option? Why are you a ♥♥♥♥?
Here's an example. GTA IV was fun to play, and had DLC released for people to enjoy more content extending the single player experience. GTA V went GTA Online and single player content was ignored. Those that wanted more single player content received nothing.
When focus in single player games shifts to multiplayer, single player content gets ignored. So when people come across a single player game they enjoy and want more content, only to have people request multiplayer knowing that will be the end of additional single player content, that is why some people have an issue with it.
As a temp solution it would be great if you could setup a company in-game and invite friends, you wouldnt be able to see them ofc until fully implemented, but offering the ability to work contracts together, joint-hauls, pool resources and even have unique company upgrades would be enough for most until real mp.
