the sad thing is the more cargo you haul even if you play in a private game you will still be bothered by NPC's looking to take your stuff it ruined the whole game for me honestly

That's true, but with most ships you can win the interdiction mini game. It's really only a danger if they try and hit you near a planet and the escape vector points you at the ground.

Nah, I did hauling in a slightly modified Federal Vette and made more money on bounties than cargo. No movie watching here.
