Endless loading screen problem

There is bug that sometimes lead to endless loading screens. Game does not crash and I can move the cursor, but the screen is black and it says Loading at the lower right corner of the screen. But it never loads.

This occasionally happens, sometimes 1 times in a hour sometimes 3-4 times. I think it is randomly happening. I think this is a major problem because (when the game does not auto-save), you need to play one or two battles again and there is no guarantee the bug won't be happen again after replaying.

Do someone have any solution to this problem? I already tried reinstalling, window mode, disabling steam community bla bla and verifying integrity cache.

bump. I am having the same issue. I am on day 85 and I cant get into the city after crossing the long 3 day bridge.

I can't help you there guys :( You might wanna try those "blind" troubleshooting steps and report the frequency of that happening:

(1) Try playing in windowed-mode, not full-screen
(2) Disable Steam overlay, big-window mode, Friends etc
(3) Go here: http://stoicstudio.com/forum/showthread.php?1790-Build-1-10-51 (this is for Factions, not Saga, but the engines are quite similar) and follow the steps of the second bullet, to make sure hardware acceleration is enabled.

Same. Still a problem in 2023, with a fresh install. I've uninstalled and reisntalled already.

Same here, just bought it and tried a couple of the things listed to no result (the link on 3 didn't work for me)
I found on reddit a usb device I have (Razer Orbweaver) was causing issue. I unplugged mine and it now launches.

Dont think anything would actually work, if it did it likely would have been fixed.
