Did Mogr Die?
Don't spoil the story for me when telling me this. I fought at ridgehorn and I had the choice of what to do to get past the Dredge and I chose the second option (where I kinda go in gung-ho but not really) and after the battle (I lost) it says Mogr stayed took a big blow but was still fighting. the next talking sequence he wasn't there when he usually is in those. I went on the wiki and it says he can only die if you send him on a decoy mission. I didn't do that so is he dead.

TL;DR: Does Mogr die at ridgehorn with option that aren't the decoy mission? don't spoil the game just tell me if he lives or if he dies.

Hmmm, that is a critical point in the story. I am not sure what happens if you lose that "exodus" battle... Mogr surely dies if you send him out to create a diversion, regardless of the outcome of the ensuing battle.

I will look it up in the game files and get back to you.

Apparently, Mogr can die in three ways, during the Ridgehorn escape:

1. As the wiki says, if you send him to create a diversion before the "exodus" (trying to escape the Dredge siege of Ridgehorn).
2. If you lose any variation of the "exodus" fight.
3. If your varl caravan has suffered heavy losses before Ridgehorn (e.g. less than 200 varl), after a victory in the first "exodus" fight, you'll find yourself in more trouble... There is a option-branch there, that can lead to Mogr's death.

So, I believe that in your case Mogr is indeed dead :Dredge:

There's checkpoint savegame upon entering Ridgehorn that you can always reload. You'll need to play the first two fights (tower top and tower bottom) again though...

I've always felt like that is kinda cheating though. So I never do that in these types of games.

True, true... But, now there's reason for you to try another couple of play-throughs, to see the rest of the game!

PS -- I updated the information about Mogr's death, in the wiki (gamepedia).
