Possible Achievement Bug

Finally beat TBS on hard difficulty today (took about a dozen tries, only had Rook and Oddleif left standing at the end) but when the credits starting rolling, I did not get the 'Beat Game on Hard Difficulty' Achievement.....

I know I reloaded quite a bit, and replayed most of Chapter 6 because I made some dumb choices, but the game file was always on 'Hard' difficulty, and dang if I didn't make a serious effort to step up my game trying to finish this run.

Anyone else have this issue? Is there criteria I broke by loading past saves? Or switching between files? Playing on OS X Yosemite 10.10.

You most likely switched the difficulty from Normal to Hard after you started a fresh game (e.g. during the tutorial), and not from the title screen...

Hm. I just realized that despite getting permission to destroy the bridge, I did not get Diplomat. Now I'm wondering if I did something wrong in the sequence.

You get diplomat once you finish the game.

You're probably right.....sigh....and it's just an achievement on a website. The experience of finishing a hard campaign was the real treat. On to Banner Saga 2!!

Now that's the spirit. But I still wish that using Iver for the finishing blow on Bellower would have been an achievement! I did it on hard too! lolol

I actually went back and did another run-through on hard (I missed your post for a few days). This was kind of a waste of time, since I'm a slow player, but I had a lot of fun doing it. I also got the 'Challenge' achievement! Only had to reload once at Frostveller, and completely destroyed Bellower at the end.

But I did check out your file. Very impressive work! Especially the war items and 20 kills on each character.
