Nope. Alternatives:

1. Buy, play for max 2hrs within 2 weeks, refund if you don't like.
2. Try the combat in the online pvp free-to-play game, Factions:

Okay so.

What are these games about?
What's the combat like?
Can it be enjoyed by people who like setting children on fire despite no games allowing this?

Factions is just combat. The Saga games have a story too. Combat is tactical turn-based strategy, 6-7 units on each side, approximately, on a square-tile board; the turn-order is a bit peculiar (not XCOM-like).
