How long is this game?

Just curious, and would anyone, who has completed this game, recommend no. 2?

I have played through BS1 about 10 times. The first was the longest @15 hours and each successive playthrough making different story choices has decreased the time factor. I am on my second playthrough of BS2. The first was rather chopped up due to real life, but was about 12 hours. Last week I streamed 8 hours straight and only made it to the beginning of Chapter 12. I expect four more hours in order to finish this second playthrough.

You may be aware of the fact that Banner Saga is a trilogy and development of part 3 is well underway. I hope to provide you with some official time of game play information soon. As you can see, I highly recommend Banner Saga 1 and 2. Skal!

For a 1st run with bug and typo checking, BS took me about 12 hours and BS 2 took about 15 hours. I read everything.
Afterwards it was closer to 9 hours and 11 / 12 hours respectively.

The duration is anywhere between 8-15 hours, for one playthrough. It depends mostly on how much time you spend in the turn-based battles, and how fast you read! People who click-through the story or storm through the battles (e.g. on Easy) might complete it in 7 hours. Contemplating every move (on Hard) while exploring all dialogue options etc, might well take you more than 15 hours.

Saga2 is definitely recommended if you like the first one
