Just wanted to share my wildest gold stake win

Been trying to get a red deck gold stake win for a bit so glad to be done with it. This run was so wild using flush plus lucky cards to stay money positive. Felt like I was bleeding out the whole run only for me to get enough levels in flush to clinch it.

With time, Madness has become one of my least favorite jokers in the game. Either you take it early and accept the gamble or you leave it there because it's too late or you'd rather not gamble.

Yes, I've won 3 jokers gold stake runs with it. Doesn't make it an interesting joker.

That said, if I tried to see something good in it, at least it's a joker that can make any player win at all stakes black+, so if someone is really bad but wanted to go for the C+ achievement anyway, there's some hope for them. That's not a bad thing.

Anyway. a first gold stake win with any specific deck always feels good, so GG to you!

Thats alot of discards! What hands were you trying to make with all those discards??

I actually like Madness because it makes Eternal a positive trait for a joker to have. It adds an interesting spin to the game. Especially if you can copy them like you did thats pretty cool. Reminds me of a recent win I had where I had a polychrome eternal Spare Trousers and a Madness from Ante 1 and those carried me the whole way.

You can think that, sure, but it was impossible for me to know how good or bad you are at this game when the only info I have on you is that it was your first gold stake win with the Red deck. You could have 25 hours played or 500 hours, your private profile hides it. So I opted to congratulate you, a first win DOES feel awesome no matter how it's achieved.
Maybe Madness finally bailed you out. But maybe it was just one of your first few attempts ("a bit" is just that vague) and RNG decided to give you Madness and you went for it. There's nothing wrong with either cases. You're not good or bad for that, because contextually, I had no info.

But now that you said you got hundreds of hours in the game, I do have a little more info. I could use it to forge an opinion, but I'll opt to simply congratulate you for the win once again. GG!

The topic is literally titled "wildest gold stake win" and then you mention how you struggled through the whole run. Consequently seems like a perfectly reasonable place to have a discussion about a particular joker. But you took it personally "contextually."
