Yes, I've won 3 jokers gold stake runs with it. Doesn't make it an interesting joker.
That said, if I tried to see something good in it, at least it's a joker that can make any player win at all stakes black+, so if someone is really bad but wanted to go for the C+ achievement anyway, there's some hope for them. That's not a bad thing.
Anyway. a first gold stake win with any specific deck always feels good, so GG to you!
I actually like Madness because it makes Eternal a positive trait for a joker to have. It adds an interesting spin to the game. Especially if you can copy them like you did thats pretty cool. Reminds me of a recent win I had where I had a polychrome eternal Spare Trousers and a Madness from Ante 1 and those carried me the whole way.
Contextually that comes off as you calling me bad. I have hundreds of hours on this game and many gold stake wins man.
seems you pray for ankh hit madness but missed multiple times, still you make it through.
You can think that, sure, but it was impossible for me to know how good or bad you are at this game when the only info I have on you is that it was your first gold stake win with the Red deck. You could have 25 hours played or 500 hours, your private profile hides it. So I opted to congratulate you, a first win DOES feel awesome no matter how it's achieved.
Maybe Madness finally bailed you out. But maybe it was just one of your first few attempts ("a bit" is just that vague) and RNG decided to give you Madness and you went for it. There's nothing wrong with either cases. You're not good or bad for that, because contextually, I had no info.
But now that you said you got hundreds of hours in the game, I do have a little more info. I could use it to forge an opinion, but I'll opt to simply congratulate you for the win once again. GG!
Im not here to get in a flame war. The guy was a ♥♥♥♥ and I blocked him its over. Its plain as day he was insulting people in his original post and no way to pretend he wasnt.
His first post was expressing an opinion about Madness as a reliably viable joker and made absolutely no reference to you specifically or your choices, and then he congratulated you for winning. You took it as an insult for some reason. Then you called him a douchebag.
The topic is literally titled "wildest gold stake win" and then you mention how you struggled through the whole run. Consequently seems like a perfectly reasonable place to have a discussion about a particular joker. But you took it personally "contextually."
"That said, if I tried to see something good in it, at least it's a joker that can make any player win at all stakes black+, so if someone is really bad but wanted to go for the C+ achievement anyway, there's some hope for them. That's not a bad thing."
If you read this and don't take that as a back handed way of saying that someones win isnt attributed to positive decision making or skill but the result pure luck then yes I took his comment as an insult and called him out on it.
I'm usually a pretty positive person but that stuck a chord with me for some reason. Thats why I chose not to continue it further and end it at that
legit the hardest stake to stake to adjust o and I was hard capped there for a long time.
until much later when I was forced to take it I didnt appreciate madness like I do now.
And then he clarified, congratulated you again, and you still insisted that he had intended to offend you and you blocked him.
Listen man I already unblock him and apologize publicly just drop it
