It's easy to check. Close the Steam client then try running the game. If the Steam client doesn't open, it's DRM free.
I personally always prefer to buy on GOG because I can install lighter games on my old offline PC using the setup.
Playstack already has many games on GOG, so I guess it's only a matter of time!
Only Denuvo has any chance of stopping pirates for a few months. So if you don't use Denuvo, you may as well publish it on GOG too.
Indeed, as I said, it was avaible pirated since the first day. So there is no reason to don't put it on GOG for people that really want to buy it there. I personally wait few months before buying here on steam because I prefer to buy on GOG so I can play with my old offline PC where I don't have interne,t installing games with GOG setups.
Maybe the dev doesn't want it there.
It's not about DRM, at least for me - it's all about installators.
There wouldn't be much point in having an offline installer if you still had to login to your GOG account after launching the game lol.
You can install Assassin's Creed 2 offline from a DVD, but you need a Ubisoft account to play it, so an installer alone doesn't mean anything if there's DRM.
This is a myth.
