"sell to disable current boss blind" doesn't work?

Am I misunderstanding something? I lost a run because selling the card that says "sell to disable current boss blind" didn't disable the current boss blind. Does it do something other than what the text says?

i came here to post this exact thing! the Luchador joker's ability does not seem to work.

Did you sell it during the boss, or before? May have to be the opposite of what you did, though honestly both should work ideally.

I also lost a run becasue of that. Now I am pretty sure you need to sell that joker during boss fight.

Can confirm, you need to sell your joker during the boss fight itself and it does work. Thankfully it was the last boss blind of the run so just sold an econ one i'd been using (rocket).

Yep that blind was my final one in my run as well. Sold a joker that was adding +100 chips for straights, then all cards weren't debuffed any more.

If you sell the Luchador during the boss that requires you to sell a joker to not have debuffed cards, did it really work? big think.

It warns you by saying it's inactive if you hover over it when not in a boss fight.

It has a very sneaky "current" in the description. You have to sell it during the boss battle, I did it that way on my end and it worked.

You cant sell before boss fight, when the fight starts THEN you sell it

No you specifically have to bring it into the boss blind and then sell it. If you could just buy it and immediately sell it to activate it in any shop it would be way too strong. Having to dedicate a joker slot to the card until you need it is the point. It's a strategic choice.

There is big red text saying "Inactive," but the text of its effect should maybe be changed to specify it must be done during the boss blind as well.

It says current boss blind. When you are not currently in a boss blind, there is only an upcoming boss blind, and a previous boss blind. The joker doesn't say it targets either of those.
Mind you, I have no issue with changing the text to clarify it further, but it's not actually inaccurate nor deceptive.

I think the word "current" implies that one must be currently facing said boss blind. That's how I interpreted it the first time I played the game.
