Lost blank voucher upgrade
So not sure what happened, I redeemed the blank voucher 10 times, unlocked the upgraded version and now it's locked again. Even my stats say I've redeemed the blank card 11 times now. Anyone experience something similar?

aigh't. Try this.
game.lua line 625, set unlocked and discovered to true, purchase them, then re-validate the game.

You're not the first to have this happen, though I have no idea as to why. Seems related to some other progress-loss issues people seem to be having, aside from the sync issues for people who use multiple machines. Did you lose any other unlocks or just Antimatter?

I believe I lost the wasteful voucher upgrade as well.

Welp, just to update this, blank voucher is sitting at 22 uses and still have not unlocked the upgraded card, so beware of this bug.

Use 7zip to open the exe as an archive, extract common_events.lua, jump to line 1388 and change it to
if true then
put the file back into the exe, run the game and redeem a blank voucher (and then antimatter, just to clinch it) and you should be good.

Not sure what it is about that check that's broken, but overwriting the condition for always-true should at least bypass the bug. After you have it unlocked you can either undo your changes or have Steam verify the game's integrity and that will be that.

As I understand it, the voucher that adds a joker spot - antimatter - is the upgraded version of the Blank voucher. Even though you have unlocked it, you still need to purchase the Blank voucher first each run, then have lucky enough RNG to have Antimatter presented to you that same run. Doesn't happen very often.

The vouchers tab still shows antimatter being locked. I HAVE unlocked it before, but I guess my saves were out of sync on my PC and surface pro, so now my save shows it locked.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Hey guys I'm having the exact same issue, however I can't seem to find the gamefile named game.lua at all, any ideas?

You just responded to a two and a half month old post by telling them information that they already had in the post.

Did you open the executable with 7zip as directed?
