Does Vampire Survivors count? I did all achievements in that one.
It's roguelite-like. It has some elements from roguelites, but itself isn't actually a roguelite, as generally speaking you progress by failing until you succeed (then you always succeed).
This game is very much not that.
There is a "meta-progression" but it's more along the lines of making the game harder, rather than easier.
(Sidenote: Roguelite and Roguelike are very different and almost have no comparable systems other than "procedurally generated content." Roguelites are very heavy into the meta-progression aspects, where as Roguelikes have virtually none and expect you to learn by failing).
To the OP: I recommend branching out and exploring more of the genre. While it can be frustrating at first and maybe even a lot, there is much about it that is interesting and novel with each new game.
In Re: frustration with Balatro, you haven't gotten very far. There is a lot you can still unlock so if you are concerned about replayability (beyond just slot machine rolling the dice kind of thing) there is much, just keep at it. When a new deck unlocks try it out.

andddd missing certain features of roguelike......
Meta-progression has a strong association with Roguelites due to their short-game nature and is not in the 9 point list of the Berlin Interpretation (nor the 5 low-value factors).
The fact that there are Roguelikes with meta-progression in no way invalidates my point (I said they generally don't).
Do you enjoy playing the game or do you just play for achievements?
Both... both.
If I enjoy the game, I want to get the most achievements I can.
But the feeling with Balatro is that im going nowhere.
This game's not great for achievement-completionists because of the final two achievements, but your unlock speed seems very much a you-issue, not one with the game.
This is why Balatro is a roguelike; because although it has meta-progression in the form of unlockable jokers, later runs are not made any easier by permanent power-ups etc.
I won for the first time!
