Four Colour Decks

It's throwing me off that clubs are blue, and diamonds are yellow, why is it this way when suit colours have been Black Red Green Blue in everything else?

I've only seen decks where clubs and spades are black, and hearts and diamonds are red. I don't think I've literally ever seen blue or green in a standard deck.

Oh, okay. Haven't seen a deck like that so I wasn't aware.

Anyway, one good reason to avoid green is the existence of red-green color blindness.

I’m just glad they’re different colors at all. Last month I played with a traditional deck for the first time in years and everyone had to let me redo my plays because I kept trying to play diamonds as hearts.
