(Stake is not the same as steak FFS!)
(also christ I can't believe i used the wrong stake. don't write things at 5 in the morning folks!)
Additional tip, skipping is rarely ever worth it, with the only exception being and the $25 on ante 1. Skipping makes you lose out on the chance to scale jokers, earn blind money, visit the shop, and earn interest. Not worth it for a random joker that has no guarantee of synergising or contributing decently to your build, not even mentioning the 60% chance of it being eternal, perishable, or rental.
"8 Ball, Superposition, To Do List, Séance, Matador,"
Of those 5 jokers, 4 are available from the start, no unlock required. They don't "dilute' anything.
So why don't you focus on other jokers instead, like Stuntman, Wee, Onyx Agate, Arrowhead, Shoot the Moon and Swashbuckler that are all good +chips or +mult jokers that need to be unlocked? Not to mention Blueprint, Brainstorm, and a lot of xmult jokers that also need to be unlocked.
If you just wait until the opportunity is convenient, you aren't at that big a disadvantage as a result. There's no prize for overkill, after all.
