Note, though, that Verdant Leaf is one of those final boss blinds, so it only appears at ante 8.
There are a few ways to counter Verdant Leaf:
-Focus your build on Joker and Planet. Card enhancement / editions are vulnerable to bosses that debuff suit / face cards, and of course Verdant Leaf.
-Take Director's Cut / Retcon if you can, so you can reroll out of VL if necessary.
-Chicot and Luchador can disable boss blind, but you need a spare Joker slot for them.
-Look for an early Negative tag and hope it's not Eternal (Black Stake+). Even if you don't need it, having a spare Joker is always beneficial (increase Temprance value, increase Abstract / Swashbuckler value), and if you stumble into Verdant Leaf, sell it.
