If you keep getting the tutorial, it may be you for some reason don't have write access to the folder where Balatro saves, and as a result it can't write a save file to track any progress or even know you've already done the tutorial. Check if there's files in %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Roaming/Balatro
More likely however is that you're using seeded runs, which don't count at wins or unlock anything, or the rare case of not understanding how roguelites work (every run does start from zero, other than some new card unlocks in Balatro's case).

Thanks for reply. There is no Balatro file in the %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Roaming/ directory, even though other Steam game files exist. I am not using seeded runs. The first time i won a run, the seed was the tutorial. With every new run, the Joker starts the talk like "I am here to teach you the game." Looks like the problem starts at the main menu. When i name my profile (which I didn't do before the runs), and then click on the profile again, the name section becomes blank. Even if I create second and third profiles, they get deleted. Everything in my collection is 0/X at the moment, except for 1 Joker and 1 deck. I tried verifying the files too.

Hmm, then it definitely seems like a write issue. Just to check off a few possible causes:
-Is there actually room on the C:/ drive? (I'd be surprised if this was the cause, but still gotta check)
-Can you run balatro.exe (right click balatro in Steam, Manage>browse local files to find it) as administrator, and does that change anything?
-Do you have an antivirus that may be "sandboxing" Balatro? Check if there's anything in the AV's logs (assuming it has logs) after you run the game.

If running as admin works, you can probably fix it by changing some permission settings on the Balatro folder in AppData after it manages to make them, so you don't have to keep running it as admin. If it's your antivirus, you may be able to add Balatro.exe as an exception somehow.

Yes, running the game as administrator fixed the problem and created Balatro folder in the AppData. Even tho running as administrator is one of the first things should come to mind , i never thought of it because using steam as platform. Altho i am not using any antivirus and have never encountered this problem before. Thanks

Edit: Instead of running the game as administrator every time, i set steam to run as administrator. It seems to be working

Balatro has reset for me today and I have lost all my progress - seems to have updated to latest version today and I can see changes in loading screen. Steam notes my >100hrs and achievements but I cannot work out how to get my save back. Is this is a known issue? And ideas how to solve this?

Problems with "The Mouth". I've played it numerous times but regardless of what hand I play, it says I can't play that hand again. For example, if my first hand was a straight, and my next hand is two-pair, it'll still tell me that hand is not allowed and mark it as a straight. I've played the mouth five times now and can't get passed it because any hand I play after the first doesn't count.

The Mouth is the boss where you must play the SAME hand or it doesn't count. It's not saying your two pair is a straight, it's saying it won't count because it isn't a straight.

Cursor invisible in fullscreen on certain devices.

Been enjoying the game on my Win10 desktop, switched to my laptop with the same OS to play on-the-go and after the first time I opened the game it was in windowed mode, so I switched to fullscreen. If I open the game with the window mode setting already set to fullscreen, the cursor becomes invisible in-game until I change the window mode. This is on windows version 10.0.19045 Build 19045.

Planet voucher is not working. The one that gives you the most played hand when you open a planet deck. It's been broken two times on a jokerless run challenge. Cool.

EVERY combo then was called not valid even high card so I lost.

Win one more run, with any deck at any stake and it will unlock.

This is probably going to be one of the weirder bug reports you've received.

I'm playing Balatro on a Lenovo Ideapad 1i running Ubuntu.
When I use the touch screen during the game, not only does it crash the game, but it crashes Gnome and sends me to the terminal.
