It can be useful in the very early game, allowing you to buy some things you might not otherwise be able to buy. Like everything in the game, there are situations where it is useful, and situations where it is not.

For instance, it might allow you to buy a couple of economy Jokers to get your economy going which you otherwise couldn't afford to buy. Like I said, it is very situational and yeah, a lot of the time there is no point to buying it.

It allows you to spend 20$ past 0$, it does not automatically put you in debt, if thats what you mean.

One of my first runs, early game I got this joker, It was worth it because I also used it to get money making jokers to make the money back + some good jokers to get me through the run.
Credit card has 0 opportunity cost (costs $1 sells for $1) so there is no reason not to take one if you have an open slot and it won't drop you below an interest threshold and it opens up more possibilities and decisions. Early game you can buy powerful jokers you may have not been able to, or you could freely buy some econ jokers that in a few blinds will more than any amount of debt. Later in the game that extra $20 of spending may be life or death in terms of allowing you to keep up with the blind scaling.

It is an effectively free joker (buys for 1, sells for 1). In the early game, when you have yet to fill up your jokers, you may as well buy it. Simply by existing, it provides +3 mult to the joker that gains mult based on how many jokers you have, +1 mult to the joker that works off of sale value, is another target for the joker that gives +1 sale value to all jokers, gives +1 dollar to the tarot card that works off of sale value (and potentially more if sale value has been increased), and gives an effective $20 that you can use if you came across a joker or item that you really want but could otherwise not afford.

And if you don't have any of those things happen, you can simply sell it at any point in time, losing absolutely nothing.

It also provides a really easy way of maintaining the effectiveness of the Beggar joker, you can tank your funds to constantly maintain an influx of Tarot cards with every hand played

It's "Vagabond", else your point is right.

While they are not strong enough reasons to buy and keep a Credit Card, it can also be fun when combined with Wraith (spectral card) or The Ox (blind) effect. Since those set your money to $0, with Credit Card it can in fact gain you money.

Yeah yeah, it was fairly obvious what I was talking about but thanks for the correction, also a good couple additions there, I managed the wraith effect a couple times in my earlier runs, always felt good when it happened.

Two good jokers in the store, can't afford good jokers, open pack, find credit card, can now afford good jokers.

Indeed, it's not that powerful, but it always feels good in this type of game to bend the rules enough that it almost feels like cheating. And it happens very rarely, which adds to the good feeling.:tta_smile_very_happy:
