Is this game going to receive content updates and new features?

As someone who doesn't mingle on discords etc. I have no insight into the development. I had been hoping since release that there would be more content, challenges, jokers and stakes etc.

I understand not wanting to mess with the balancing but I wonder if there are any plans for new things.

Also there are some quality of life and interface improvements I think would be neat, like being able to restart the current game/challenge (different seed) or with a button. Clicking through the menu to retry a challenge or a run is a bit clunky and could be easily solved for example. Also, I think it might be worth experimenting with alternatives to how the first tier works because I think the game tilts a bit too far toward encouraging you to reroll the first blind for a good skip on high stakes unless you want to explicitly challenge yourself or get a streak going. I don't have any ideas for this off the top of my head that would be great, however.

I would love a way to set colors manually for the suits without modding.

Steam Workshop implementation for easy modding would also be nice and maybe a way to edit card faces without having to install third party software off nexus.

All in all I really enjoy this game but I think there is still some life and experimentation with new game modes etc left in it. Cheers

New content is planned for 2025. You can already restart a stake/challenge by holding the "r" key.

Thanks a lot for both the info and the tip. I did not know about it and it doesn't seem to be be stated anywhere in the game, which is odd.

There is a list called Awesome Balatro, I suggest you look into it. I used Steammodded + Lovely injector to mod my Balatro. MoreFluff + MoreConsumables + the stickers mod is what I'm rocking.

Just found it, thank you! Once I am done with the achievements I'll start modding. A lot of the stuff on there sounds like fun.
