Seems like most jokers are very situational and trash tier

I love the game, but the more I unlock, the worse the game feels over time. I feel a lot of these jokers need some love.

I don't think they're intentionally trolling, they just haven't thought about their complaints very much.

If all jokers are equally useful all the time, then you remove portions of the game to save/hunt and unlock new jokers. All runs become essentially the same and boring. Noone would play the OPs ideal version of the game, ever.

Dildo stonks is 100% trolling. He's been necroing old topics to make irrelevant complaints for a couple days now and doesn't directly respond to comments any more or accept any advice and just keeps spouting the same two or three ridiculous comments. Don't engage.

I will beat the black deck. I feel the best approach is to hold R until I get a free shop and hope to get a decent start-up to offset the low number of hands and discards. It's weird. This game gives almost the same kind of "high" as beating a dark souls boss whenever I beat a deck, and even more so when I hit ante 11.

I can guarantee you that is not the way to win the game, particularly on black deck. It's already slightly harder than usual to win the first ante because you have one fewer hand and by skipping the first blind you're forcing yourself to go straight against the big blind while still having no jokers and no augmentations to your deck. You will frequently lose to the big blind and when you don't there's absolutely no guarantee you're going to get anything that boosts your score in the shop even when everything is free. You will much more consistently get runs going by beating the first blind in one or maybe two hands and buying a joker the traditional way in the first shop.

Also. . . holding R is really boring and you're not learning how to actually play the game by just spamming reset. You're only practicing resetting. Which is not going to help you when you increase the stake. Skipping blinds is already not very good at any difficulty and it just gets worse the higher in the stakes you go.

While I also disagree with the proposal, if you frequently lose to Ante 1 Big Blind when lacking an edge, that's a user error.

I suppose I should clarify that I think new players are more likely to lose against the big blind with no jokers due to inexperience and not because it's impossible.

Skipping the small blind loses you out on seeing 2 joker slots, 2 card packs (1 of which is guaranteed to be a buffoon pack on your first shop), and receiving $2-3 (usually $3, but an unlucky small blind is possible). That opportunity cost easily outweighs the money saved from making the next shop free.
