Balatro on other platforms than Steam?

Hey. Before you ask, yes I do own Balatro on Steam and while it works out for me, it won't work out for somebody I want to present that game to, which is my father.
Obviously hassle with Steam would be super off-putting for my father to even consider playing this game - I like the way GOG or Itch.io handles it - no launcher-based pure games.

Are there any plans to release it outside Steam? I want to give him legal copy of game after all...

Actually. Read a bit about drama with Balatro on GOG (and one of curators litteraly blocking game for no good reason).
Thankfully community have means to vote it in and I would like people (other than me) to vote for it: https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/balatro
