Nice idea! Maybe not exactly 18+ but these are some I thought of:

Jack-Off: Gain 1x mult for every played Jack - removes Jacks from deck when played

Straight as a Roundabout: Straights can now be connected from bottom of your deck to the top. (3,2,A,K,Q is now a straight for example)

DEI: You can now include any consumable/joker card as part of your played cards to achieve a desired hand. One time use.

Extra-Celestial: Gain 0.25x mult everytime you open a celestial pack

This thread is hilarious, here are some ideas inspired by 18+ movies (alongside some spoiler-free explanation):

Srpski Joker: Whenever hand contains a scoring King alongside a scoring Queen/Jack, gain +0.25 XMult and destroy the Queens/Jacks
(Explanation: male figure destroys female figure and smaller male figure when grouped together)

La Mesita del Jimbo: Glass Cards provide x3 Mult instead of x2. When a Glass card breaks, destroy this Joker.
(The glass is precious but do not let it break)

Taxidermied Joker: Whenever you defeat a Boss Blind, gain $20
(selling off the trophies)

Se7enth Joker: For every 7 Sevens you play or discard, gain +0,7 XMult

I find this ruling absolutely and profoundly silly to the point I consider a bad actor lobbying against this game through private channels more realistic than a human being in any position of authority coming to this decision. You go into any toy store and any 7 year old can buy a poker deck with instructions on how to play it and nobody would bat an eye.

Smartphones, consoles and the PC market are littered with countless of insidious gambling-like mechanisms and their associated psychological levers at work. There are video game compilations sold for families that have various gambling card games such as poker and black jack. The gaming industry has been overrun with authoritative bitter soccer Karens, corporate drones and pathological boot lickers.

If anything, spending just a few minutes looking up and calculating hand probabilities was enough to dissuade me permanently from the idea of ever considering a career in gambling. Utterly preposterous.

I think the main point that disqualifies this game from priming you for a life in gambling is the lack of a financial stake or incentive. What leads most people into the addiction is either the desperation of chasing their losses or the pure hit of adrenaline that comes with betting half your fortune on a single evening.

I am not sure if any of you have ever played real poker, but everyone I have ever talked to about this agreed with me on poker being unbelievably boring without betting any money on games. As the game in itself is too dull and simplistic to be of any interest without the financial incentive. It's less of a game and more of a betting implementation.

All of these media restrictions, are arbitrary, devoid of logic or temperance and implemented by people who seem to have a perpetual chip on their shoulder. and ulterior selfish motives. I have thought so in my younger years and it has only gotten worse.

Also, I would like to voice my opinion strongly against implementing some joke about this into the game. It breaks the fourth wall and sincerity of the games design to own the jerks. Something I find detestable in spirit. Spiteful pettiness does not enrich your work.

The US and, to my understanding (I may well be misremembering, of course), EU ratings boards are controlled (not in the sense of bribery and corruption, but in the sense of officially having representatives who make up the majority of the thing) by the big western video game publishers.

Meanwhile Australia, New Zealand, and other countries have government controlled ratings systems, which can have their own issues (ranging from weird quirks to full out oppressive nonsense) but avoid the Blatantly Obvious anti-competitive corruption trap (and tendency to act completely contrary to the public interest) that comes with an industry to controlled equivalent.
