How To Deal With Debuffs?

I am relatively new to the game. Debuffs kill my run. How do I get rid of them or deal with them?

Or in a lot of cases, just don't care: debuffs only prevent the debuffed card's effects. You can still use a debuffed card to form a scoring hand. It won't get the chips (or enhanced card effects or joker effects on card scoring) from that card, but it will get the hand structure chips and mult and triggers. Most of the time in my runs, that's negligible.

Joker debuffs are much more problematic, but I don't think there are many sources?

If you see a debuff (or any, really) boss is coming up, and it ruins your current joker strategy enough that you won't win, you change your joker strategy. Either get something to temporarily replace it if you have open joker slots, or start selling stuff.

Planet cards for your desired hand type can mitigate debuffed cards.
