This game doesn't save my progress anymore

I've won two runs on red deck with green stake, and I can't access the next stake anymore when I launch the game again. Reinstalling the game didn't solve the problem, and it says cloud status is up to date.

I closed it properly, through the main menu. When I won that run, I could see the option to select the fourth stake. Then I left the game, and when I started the game again I could only see 3 stakes. (up to green).

That issue started recently, the game used to work properly and save progress.

The same issue happens to many games. Usually it's not the game, but steam.

Maybe you did something strange with your steam cloud saving. Or steam did that without your knowledge. DId you switch to a different PC? Or played some on another one? Steam might be confused as to which one is the most recent one.

If no, then perhaps it's the game. In which case I can't help you. :(

Nope, I only play my steam games on this pc .

Oh well, at least I can play it on my phone.

I just tried again, with another deck! I won a run on normal difficulty, I unlocked the second stake. Then I exit the game properly and launch it again, and the second stake doesn't show anymore!

It'd suggest verifying the game files if you haven't already, as a local file corruption issue is more likely than a bug if it's only happening for you and is a recent development.

I did, many times. I reinstalled many times too... to no avail.

I noticed that the save.jkr file keeps getting deleted every time I win a run. Deactivating and reactivating steam cloud didn't solve the issue. Unchecking read only in folder property didn't solve it. Reinstalling the game 20 times didn't solve it. Verifying integrity of files didn't solve it.

I give up with this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.
