It scales slow, and grindy the impact falls off quickly as +chips are meh, at 10 hands worth of grinding you can get more from one tarot card, to be a 'decent' plus chips it needs to have run 15 hands minimum - more like 20....so you need it early and be able to balance not winning too quick, with the econ penelties for going slow all for what an extra +4/+8 chips a round

yeah it feels like more of a mediocre scaling card at low stake. at higher stakes it's a potential run killer by ruining your economy. but occasionally this is the only chip joker you can find so you try to make it work anyways.
just consider it part of the difficulty. in a card game you are supposed to have bad cards.

Square joker is fine. It's a good complement to +mult jokers that scale by hands played; if you're already slow rolling extra hands to pump green/bus/supernova/pants/what have you then you're adding a ton of additional scaling without any extra cost. It's neither great nor terrible, like a lot of the other commons.

It's best combined with Four Fingers for Straights and Flushes; or strong 4-of-a-kind/set builds. Theoretically with enough Bonus Mult and Multi-Mult, you can build a Two Pair strategy, but that's REALLY hard to score enough with.

I do think it needs to scale higher to compensate for the lower amount of card scoring, though.
