Mainly just limiting it through your GPU settings. Alternatively, you can open the game with 7zip and change G.FPS_CAP in main.lua from 500 to a reasonable number, but that's more effort.

I am doing something else with most of the gpu like a render, or another game and even in background/other screen balatro still trying to run full max, even outside all that you could be saving over 100W out of the wall, that will add up, slowly. mobile devices battery concerns, hardware lifespan (though that would be if you were testing it and having to open it for a bit then off and repeat constantly, like mod making), noise in the room even! warmth of the room to go along with that. Well, I was about to cap the game myself, but it do be winter.... and my legs do be gettin cold. same price as a space heater anyway?

Nvidia control panel and go to game setting and set custom fps limit. If you have nvidia gpu.

Simplest way to cap fps is to turn VSync on.
