Sudden lag at times.

When I first started playing Balatro, the game ran incredibly smooth. But these days, it just lags for no reason. Be it me transferring over to the menus, cards are being shuffled, I played a hand or discard, there’s a chance of a wave of lag. Anybody know any solutions?

I heard it was tied to game speed to which I DID only start to realize these lag spikes when I switched over to 2 speed. Don’t know how true that is though.

I do play on a Microsoft Surface so I suppose I AM asking for it. But even then I do have the correct specs for it.

I've been on 4X speed pretty much and I have not encounter any lag.

Could vsync being on or off cause such problems?
Just asking, don't throw tomatoes at me if it has zero chance of being the problem.

I have the exact same issue for the past week or two. Deeply annoying, as some clicks aren't registered correctly, they register at an incorrect position. Fluidity of Balatro was top tier, now it makes me sad. I'm not even sure it's because of a Balatro update. I think I was already using 1.0.1f without issues before it happened.

I just found this post and I also have the same issue.
The first time playing it was smooth, now that I am playing for the second time, it suddenly lags every 2 ~ 3 seconds...
I did not change any settings, nothing changed. What is going on Balatro? T_T
