Flower Pot + smeared joker joker qestion

I feel like smeared joker and flower pot should basically trigger each time, but it isn't for me.

maybe im missing? Pretty new to the game and just won my first run (i honestly didn't realize for the fist 10 hours or so that there were additive and multiplicative jokers so i was passing up really good jokers thinking they were trash)

-Flower Pot can only trigger when having at least 4 scoring cards.
-Smeared Joker loosens the requirements to trigger Flower Pot's effect from one card of each suit to two of each color.
-Flower Pot - Only two Clubs or Spades and two Diamonds or Hearts need to be played to trigger the x3 Mult effect.

Oh my gosh! Thanks! I missed entry about NEEDING the four cards I assumed it triggered off the two

A card can only count as a single suite for any given effect.

Smeared means you can't tell what suit it is, only what color. So when Flowerpot comes along it goes "I need one card from each of four suits." You hold up a red card and a black card, it squints, and replies. "You only have two cards, that can't possibly be all four suits."
