Suggestion: Change wording on Death Tarot card or add visual cue

I don't know how many times I've made the mistake of duping the wrong card using the Death Tarot. I am dyslexic and the wording sometimes trips me up. It would be great if the card had more clear wording, as sometimes my lizard brain just interprets it incorrectly. When it says "Select 2 cards, convert the left card into the right card", I think it's the left card that will be the keeper, and not the right. Perhaps change the wording so it says "Select 2 cards, the leftmost card will be converted into the rightmost card," or something similar.

A second option could be to use a visual cue, such as the card that will be converted will have an X going through it to identify which card will be altered.

While I'm all for more clearer info in these type of games, and I do sympathize for your dyslexia, "convert the left card into the right card" is actually pretty clear.

Your description is pretty much the same, except now it takes up more space and messier. But who know, if more people are having this issue, then maybe the dev will change it.

I have it for the PS5 but came here because I don't know if there's a place to recommend suggestions for that platform. So I came here, since I would assume they get the majority of their feedback on Steam. Thanks for your ever so helpful assumption and comment. Douche.

Sure buddy. I believe you. But namecalling is against the terms and conditions, etc. So one "helpful" bit of advice is don't do it.

The wording doesn't matter once you memorize the effect itself, that you'll get 2 copies of the card on the right. So unless you have a condition that makes you mix up left and right (I know someone IRL who does it constantly), you'll be fine.

i don't have dyslexia, but i do have a similar issue with mixing up which card will be turned into which. i'm not really sure how to best solve this, though, as i feel like the suggested change is still going to confuse me somehow.

Maybe change it to two actions.

"Select Card to Be Copied"
"Select Card to Be Overwritten"

Two actions is bad UX, especially for actions that are going to be repeated a dozen times or more. It could use a visual indicator like displaying the card that is going to be transformed as a "ghost" of the target, though it would make it inconsistent with the style guide of how other tarot cards work.

yeah, so, i put the game down for a bit and pick it up again fairly frequentrly, and i frequently find myself aghast as i watch myself accidentally overwrite my best cards with my worst cards.

i definitely think there's merit to making death's consequences maybe a little more visually apparent before you cash in the card.

Ever since i read this thread ive done it twice after doing it once before, maybe, the whole time i had the game..inconceivable..

I think the wording is fine, but I think it makes sense to have an accessibility option to show an effect on the card being converted. Like the X graphic overlay you mentioned. And it would be an option so people who don't want it don't need to use it.
