Hi devs

It probably behooves you to know that the game Classic Card Game on the Android Playstore is a 100% rip off of Balatro.

You probably want to look into that.

I love your game and I hate seeing someone stealing your game content.

Found it, looks like it's technically different enough to be a complete ripoff but not illegal. At least judging from the screenshots, I'm not downloading that crap of course.

However, the game's identifier is com dot) dxgame (dot) BalatroCard which possibly opens up a venue for taking it down. Copying a game's mechanics isn't illegal, using its name can be. Of course if it's actually using Balatro's code that's also a no-brainer takedown, but proving that is going to be harder.

Anyhow, at least according to the subreddit, you're supposed to mail these things to balatro@playstack dot com, posting here's not as likely to help.

A lot of the card art and just game art in general is essentially copied directly from Balatro, but even more damning is that the backing music is literally Balatro's main theme, just ripped and slapped into the game.

I accidentally stumbled on it while looking to see if someone made an app that gave descriptions of all the cards. Entered 'Balatro' in the search and it was like the first result that popped up!

Some of the artwork appears to have been used but unless you have a patent the game mechanics can be used.
