Is there a way to unlock Gold Stakes for all decks without disabling achievements?
Does anyone know of a straightforward way to unlock all gold stakes without the Unlock All button (since that disables achievements)? I've reached & beaten gold stake on three decks, and would like to beat it on more decks. But I'm not interested in grinding a gazillion runs on lower stakes to unlock gold stake on the remaining 12 decks.

To beat the 6 middle stakes (Red to Orange) for the 12 remaining decks would require 6*12=72 wins. Even if I won every time, that's 0.5-0.75h per win, or 36-54h. I'd rather not do that. I want to play the meat of the game, not grind low-stakes runs that are close to guaranteed victories.

EDIT: I found a solution, see this comment.

One question, why care about Achievements?

But seriously, anyone can mod Balatro and give unlimited money to beat every stake freely. It's still dumb to have to resort to that, though.

You can mod the game yourself by opening Balatro.exe as an archive, searching for game.lua, opening it in a text editor and manually searching for values and editing them. Not the most elegant solution but there's that.

okay I dont understand this want for the achievement if you arent enjoying the game or getting them and just complaining about it instead. Go play cookie clicker if you wanna see numbers go up?

That's a failure of reading comprehension. I want to play gold stake, not red stake.

There is no reading comprehension issue: you have access to what you want but are hung up on earning achievements. The question is why the hang up on achievements when they prevent you from enjoying the game how you like?

I mean, just make a second profile, unlock everything and play what you want. If you want to work towards achievements, go back to your "main" profile and grind out some wins on lower stakes again.

Okay yeah there is just a bit of me not reading the full thing and getting mad at all these similar posts.

But it does sound like you want to "cheat the achievements" but I do see the point at least there is some sense behind it.

Crank up your game to 4x speed and breeze through the easy stakes, maybe put on some youtube then get back to the grind of higher stakes.

For anyone interested in an answer to this topic, I found a solution in the form of the Steamodded[github.com] mod loader for Balatro, plus the Faster Stakes Unlock[github.com] mod (Discord writeup here[discord.com]). Before installing any mods, however, I recommend making a backup of the Balatro save folder (path: "%APPDATA%\Balatro").

Anyway, this mod saved me dozens of hours of grinding intermediate stakes to unlock gold stake for each deck. And now I've beaten all decks on gold stake.

skipping to the last boss and saying you beat the game

Look, I've legitimately beaten games like Dark Souls, Dark Souls 3, Sekiro (the latter even on NG+ w/o Kuro's Charm), or Celeste (incl. C-sides and Farewell chapter). The analogy you're looking for is not that I skipped to the last Dark Souls boss and claimed that that was equivalent to beating the game, but rather that I skipped the equivalent of Sekiro NG and beat the harder NG+ charmless mode instead. Similarly, after beating a Balatro deck on Gold Stake, what exactly is there to prove by beating it on Green Stake afterwards?

it's about the journey, grats on your wins
