Game in a crash loop

So, I have a very... Interesting and specific problem. The other day I was trying to play Balatro on my second monitor while I was waiting for another game to install.

I wanted to play it on my second monitor, so I tried changing my video settings to switch it over. At first it wouldnt switch at all; I changed it to monitor 2 output and hit the accept button but nothing happened. So, I switched it to windowed mode and dragged it to my other monitor, and then switched back to full screen, which ended up crashing it. Booted it up again, and it started just fine, so I decided to try a different approach, wherein I put it in windowed mode, dragged it over to my second monitor, changed the output to monitor 2, and then switched it back to full screen.

Well upon doing that, it crashed immediately, and now every time I launch it it just won't load. It gives me like 1 second of the initial load screen and then opens a different window on my second monitor that is plain white and wont respond. I've tried redownloading, I've tried verifying; all my drivers and windows updates are up to date. I tried finding a config file to see if I could change the settings through that (no luck) and I tried changing different parameters in steam launch options.

I'm really at a loss for things to try, but I borked it real hard and I have no idea how to fix it.




EDIT: I figured it out. So if anyone in the future has this problem for some reason, set your displays back to one screen, either through windows settings or by pressing CTRL+P and clicking "PC screen only", and then launch the game. It should launch with no issues, and then you can extend your displays again. I think this happened because my monitors are two different resolutions, and switching it to full screen on the second monitor screwed with the games rendering. Don't know for sure but this fixed it. Hopefully it helps someone down the line!
