The Arm - Tarot card downgraded my Aces to 2!

This seems like a bug to me, but I was holding a tarot card that was "upgrade up to two cards". I chose my two aces thinking it would increase chip or multi but it turned them into 2's and cost me the run.

It would be nice if the game either didn't allow player to destroy their aces or add more detail in the description with warning that Aces will turn into 2's.

It’s not a bug. “Rank” just means the value of the card, and the ace is the highest value rank.
I see where the confusion could come from if you don’t know what rank means as it pertains to cards, though.

I assume you used the strength tarot card. Aces have a value of 11 and 1. Which is way a straight of 10, J, Q, K, A, and A, 2, 3, 4, 5 are available hands. There is no 12 value card but there is a 2 value card. 2 is the next number from 1 therefore no bug.

I see there is some weird conflation here between the Strength card (the culprit) and The Arm, a boss blind.

Aces are both the highest rank and the lowest rank in (most) poker hands; think of how it's used in Blackjack, too. You upgraded from a 1 to a 2.
