Are there any other challenges after winning?
I got a win after a couple hours of play which surprised me. Perhaps I just had a lucky combo alongside doubling-down on a specific planet card for Full House.

Now that I've "won" I don't really see a reason to play any more which is a little disappointing after such a short time.

Collecting the other cards doesn't really interest me, but I was hoping there might be another challenge I don't know about as a reason to go back and play...?

There's 20 challenges in the game to beat, meaning a run with extra rules. Aside from that, you can set "unlocking all decks" as a challenge and after that "beating every difficulty on each deck". You can try unlocking all achievements in the game, that'll be like a final boss of challenges. That's kind of the point of roguelikes - they're meant to be played over and over for the sake of a made up challenge or unlocking stuff.

There are incrementally harder difficulties that you can unlock separately for each deck. Just beating it on "white stake" is pretty easy but by the end it's nearly impossible. So yes, the game will absolutely scale up to match your skill level and beating it once is not really "beating" it.

Ahhh, I didn't spot that there are other difficulties somehow! Thanks

Most people try to get wins on every deck and stake(difficulty level). There are 8 stakes and 15 decks so that makes 120 combinations to beat. Then separately there are the Challenges.

Or you can just play for the fun of it and unlocking all the cards.

It's certainly a grind though, I've definitely slowed down and it's something I play when I have time to kill and have a TV show on in the background.

Hmm, I wouldn't go quite that far, but I take your point! I'll revisit it on harder difficulties.

Think abouut this like any other rougelike game, like Risk of Rain, Slay the Spire, Cult of the Lamb, Vampire Survivors, etc. It's not about winning once, because winning with only one character (or deck/stake in this case) is not the end condition. there's 150 jokers, some with specific challenges, 15 decks, 8 stakes/difficulties per deck, 32 vouchers, 30 boss blinds to discover and work around.

I went in with the "I just want to unlock all the things" and managed that. The hardest unlock was getting a 100 million point hand. But I've now also beaten Gold Stakes, so I feel complete, even if I will return now and again for a run.
