Crazy Elusive Joker - What's Going On?
I've been at 149/150 jokers for the past 20 games or so, with the only joker I'm missing being the stone joker. Everything I've looked up just says that you need to have stone cards in your deck in order for it to appear, but across all my runs I've rerolled the shop hundreds of times with stone cards in my deck and haven't seen it once. One run had 120+ rerolls in it, I swear I must've seen every other joker in the game that run!

I've tried mixing things up just in case. I often use the plasma deck because it's the easiest to get rolling with stone cards, but I've also used the zodiac deck as well. I've tried having only 1-2 stone cards in my deck. I've tried having over a dozen stone cards in my deck. One run, I had an entire round that was nothing but stone cards in my hand. I've used the tower to generate stone cards, I've bought stone cards in the shop, I've bought them as individual cards... I even tried avoiding other card enhancements to avoid muddying the pool. I don't honestly think any of that stuff would matter, but maybe the game isn't registering properly when I have stone cards in my deck? Like how Canio doesn't count a face card as destroyed in cases it should like using the death tarot. But none of that helped anyway.

I can find the other material jokers just fine. I had one run where the steel joker and the glass joker both appeared twice for me! But I still can't find the stone joker. Is its spawning broken? This is getting beyond bad luck.

Sometimes it just takes a long time between unlocking a joker and having it show up so you can "discover" it. I think I've only had Stone Joker come up once or twice in over 100 hrs of play.

Same for me, but it's the glass joker that won't show up.

I see stone joker far more than glass or steel joker while at most having 1-2 stone cards in my deck. I only take them if they also have a purple or blue seal.
It's just the luck of the draw unfortunately and this game takes it to the extreme. I've also had those banana jokers last over 20 rounds (not the 1 in 3000 one) as well as failed the 1 in 4 chance to enhance my jokers with the tarot cards over 20 times in a row. Both scenarios supposedly only have a 0.1% chance of happening, yet in 20 hours, I've seen both happen multiple times

One suggestion is to play on Anaglyph Deck and stock up on Double Tag. Once you get at least one Stone card in your deck, pick the next Uncommon Tag and hopefully it'll show up.

Note that each ante has its own Joker queue, so it may take a few tries (if you're unlucky enough to hit the tag in a specific ante that the Stone Joker is so deep you can't dig it out).

What's odd about it? Even if all jokers had the same probability, in an ideal scenario it's be 1/140 chance to roll Stone Joker. That's the number of jokers (150) - 5 legendaries and -5 jokers already bought. On e.g. 200 rolls, the likelihood of not encountering a particular joker with those odds is 100 * (1-(1/140))^200 = ~23.8%.
In reality I'm not sure what the odds of pulling uncommon jokers is, but I'm pretty sure it's less than the common ones. Plus you have planet and tarot cards to contend with in the shop too. It's not that weird if you math it out.

Best you can do to increase odds is not take any lucky or glass cards, not break Gros Michel, not take any of the tags that make tarot and planet cards spawn more, and take every buffoon pack. Maybe also go for uncommon tags, those would have a 1/60-ish chance of spawning Stone Joker with those manipulations. Varies up or down a tiny bit depending on how many uncommons you have. Perhaps Anaglyph deck to get a ton of Uncommon Tags would be ideal, like Ronald said. Although it's likely more fun to just play the game until it pops up naturally, rather than optimizing everything just towards the spawn chance of one joker.

I had the same issue... start using stone cards as much as possible, it seems the Stone Joker will NEVER appear if you have zero stone cards.

EDIT: I'm, not sure if there is a specific # as to how many stone cards you need before the Stone Joker will possibly appear... or if having more stone cards increases the chances of it appearing.

I had 90+ hours and no Stone Joker... I picked up the Marble Joker and got the Stone Joker on the first run!!

It's already known that Steel Joker, Stone Joker, Golden Ticket, Lucky Card and Glass Joker ONLY shows up when you have Steel / Stone / Gold / Glass Card in your deck. I do agree that Stone Joker is somewhat rare, but granted, it's not impossible to get.

The issue lies in the Joker queue system. Each Ante, you're presented with a list of Joker that will show up in a specific order when rerolled, opening Buffoon Pack, or spawned from Judgement. If you already have some Joker bought, the duplicated ones will be skipped and the next one in queue will show up, so by having 5/6 Jokers filled, you have the odd increased a bit. HOWEVER, there's always a chance that the game will queue Stone Joker so deep into the queue that you cannot reroll into it by the time you finish Big Blind, so this is pretty much a guess game - do you take the next free shop, do you take the next D6 tag to reroll, or save up for the next Ante, etc...

It probably does help the odds if you pick up the Marble Joker first. I've noticed that jokers that have synergy tend to appear together.

after you discover it you need to see it in your run and use it for it to show up as checked

I've tried to build into Lucky Card runs for fun after Lucky Cat and Magician got buffed and Lucky Cat just won't show up lol
