How often do you like to skip versus play the blinds?

Just out of curiosity, how often do you personally like to skip versus play blinds? Obviously whether or not to skip is situation dependent, but overall how often would you roughly say you skip versus play for example?

I think I play about 98% of the time. The only real time I skip is if I am playing the anaglyph deck and have stacked up double tags. Most of the time I feel like the missing shop and lack of reward for playing outweighs any reward skipping. Oh I also take the negative joker tag, but those seem so rare they equal the 2%.

Mostly I only skip in like ante one rarely otherwise. or I skip if I have good seltzer set up.

The higher the stake, the less I skip. At gold, 3-5 skips per run, rarely more. Scaling jokers (square, green, bus, wee, etc...) and earning interest is crucial. But a good skip at the right time can benefit a run, a lot.

Almost never. Main exceptions being anaglyph or if I'm offered something big enough like $40 or upgrading my main hand 3 times (if I need the chips).

in the very early antes or if the tag is a negative joker or another really good tag. Once you get some scaling jokers, you want to play as much as you can.

I consider skips only for negative/xMult jokesters in the mid-late game, or reroll a boss blind that hard counters me. other than that I might only skip for 0$ shop in the first ante, or a very exceptional tag -- +3 to a hand level can be better than an actual blind at *certain* points on *certain* runs

It sounds like a cop-out but the answer is 'it depends'. It all comes down to opportunity cost. Is the tag worth more than a shop + an opportunity to scale my build? More often than not the answer is 'no', but it depends on the build. Certainly I'm more likely to skip early on in a run when I haven't established a build yet, especially if it's the small blind as Red Stake makes early small blinds not worth dealing with at all.

I'd skip them if the game would give me enough jokers that aren't total trash, so I could afford to skip the blinds. But I'm stuck going through shops which offer me dog turds

Depends on the tag for me, I always go for a free shop...

I probably skip more than most since I always pick Throwback if it's offered and it's usually already at 1,5-2,5x already when it's offered lol.
