Vampire nerf maybe a bit overkill?
Rare quality is deserved, and i like it only affecting cards you use so you are forced to risk some plays to feed the vampire, also allows you to kinda use steel cards if you dont touch them.
However the nerf from +0.2 to +0.1 feels a bit too harsh, this card now takes a while to get going and becomes fairly useless if you get it late since you need to feed it a lot, maybe +1.5 would have been a better middle point

Definitely agree, it got nerfed in to the ground and wasnt even an "always pick" card to begin with, ive passed on it more than ive taken it. Way too slow now, another yawn joker

it wasn't op without the combo, so i think just removing that and seeing how it is would have been a good idea, changing multiple variables then testing won't give you accurate answers

Not very good at all now. Especially on higher stakes where enhancements are hella expensive/random. Only tries to hit Midas Mask which is hilarious since Vampire + Midas Mask is ridiculous even despite the nerf.

its almost like the dev's goal is to remove fun

Id say the dev's natural role is to find balance which is kind of anti-fun. That is to say, in order to ensure the game is not exploitable or "too easy" nerfs happen and as a result, fun gets decreased for some.

I mean, he just made a bunch of changes that made the game like twice as easy as it was before?

I wouldn't say it is easier now. It is "technically" as difficult. More decision making and making economy slightly more unstable. Slightly better scoring makes it more plausible to get a run out of it instead of a press "R" sim which makes it become a GAME.
Compared to old gold, where you can just focus on huge econ and not worry about other things.
New gold has more to focus on and can potentially pwn you upfront in ante 1 even with the buff in tags. Imagine getting majority eternals + rental or perishables + rental jokers. Which is pretty frequent. Having to pass up, say, blueprint + baron because both are eternal rentals, that is a hugeeee heart ache.

Remove enhancements for 0,1 mult improvement? Yeah, no thanks. I don't even like the current one that much.

Yeah. The current one stripping enhancements from cards makes it impossible to make best-use out of several tarot cards, which is why I already avoid it.

I'd have put a maximum mult value on Vampire (at which point it stops stripping enhancements) than to reduce its mult gain.

I do think a nerf was warranted - the old Vampire was an auto buy almost every time - but it does seem excessive. I suppose now it's comparable to Obelisk, in that it's a scaling tool that is usually quite bad, and can be good but not amazing in specific circumstances.

lmao people have been complaining for a while that the game's later antes were not fun, now there are changes and it's "removing fun"

get over yourself
