Suddenly, those tags need a buff, not a nerf.
Not exactly my definition of fun and of rewarding good decisions.
Maybe the tags could make them the normal price but can't have an sticker on them.
It's a shame how often the actual challenge in games these days gets over-compensated for, rather than just addressing the few specific elements of unfair difficulty...
It also undermines the efforts of those of us who spent time completing various parts of the game pre-patch, and will no doubt piss many of them off! (Myself not included, because I'm still happy with my completionist achievement, and felt the others would've been a massive grind regardless of the update.)
Sorry, what's the point of gold stake?
Each of the 3 debuff happens 30% of the times. As a result, we're left with only 34% of jokers that are clean.
Check your joker lineup at ante 3. Now imagine 1-2 are rental, 1-2 are perishable, 1-2 are eternal, some possibly a combo of those, the only impossible one being perishable + eternal. It's either that or #2 you still have empty slots or #3 you have a lineup of clean but really bad jokers.
Since paying 7-8$ per round (rental+renewal of perishable) is not sustainable, the only real option is bad jokers. Unless you somehow get lucky, hit good clean jokers and can continue. I managed to do that 2-3 times, past that point the game is ridiculously easy. Why? Low cost of packs, 8 card hand.
Honestly, don't try the beta, play that next version when you'll be forced to. By then, hopefully, it'll be better.
