Feel STuck
I can't get past Green Stake. I keep feeling I am just not getting the tools I need to build a good deck around. Like I lack the tools to make straights consistent, or full house builds. I try to do Full Houses by making many of a small handful of cards via arcana but it never QUITE works.

Am I just missing something?

Just now getting my feet off White Stake here. What is the difference in White Stake and Green? I have opened up Red Stake now and saw the money penalty for the first blind. Not too bad. Can mitigate that.

Higher ante point thresholds.

I JUST had a run where I almost won.

And on my last hand the boss ante disabled my "survive" losing joker and I was one card short of a full house which would have won.

So I lost

Have some economy going, that includes interest. Keep money in the bank.
Have a chip joker.
Have at least one +mult joker. Probably more at the beginning. Preferably one that scales too.
Have x mult joker(s). Place them on the right end of your lineup for max score.

Straight is the toughest hand to play. Well, excluding straight flush I suppose. If you have Shortcut, then it's easier but at the same time, it's a joker that does not directly help scoring, which is often a problem. If you don't have Shortcut, then you'll likely lose to a blind by not drawing the cards you need.

Full House is better, but you really need to make multiple copies of a card from a specific rank to make it work. Else, you're relying on luck of the draw, as for straights. If luck fails you once, you're going back to ante 1.

All stake penalties stack, first of all. It means that red stake penalty will be a thing for all stakes higher than red.

The green stake penalty is that all blinds require a higher score to be defeated. Or rather, not all, ante 1 remains the same at least. But at some point you start seeing it apply.

There are certain strategies that work better than others. Imo, early game is just as tricky as late game, because you want to invest in some +mult And some +chips in some way, enough to float, but not spend more than you have to so you can leverage your economy toward ramping up.

Certain jokers can carry you, especially at these lower stakes, but I won't say what they are because discovering them is the entire reason people play. I definitely don't like to spoil even a game like this.

Fair enough thanks for the advice!

I've been trying to play full house by thinning cards from my deck should I be adding cards instead, like using packs to add a bunch of kings and queens etc
