I'm never gonna get past orange stake

Been trying to beat orange stake for the last two weeks. Finally just got a good start and got a bunch of steel kings with mime and baron. Then run into the plant in ante 6. GG

I wanted to try to play the seed a little like you do to figure out whether the plant was a hard stop for your build, but I was distracted by the mega buffoon pack on ante 2 with a Stuntman. Baseball Card and more uncommon jokers were my final build. It was safer to play that than Baron/Mime.

But, nevermind, there is an interesting question here. How to respond to the Plant with Baron/Mime ? It's hard, but sometimes doable. I think the build is overall very hard to put together without a way to generate tarot cards, and the solution lies in it : transform non-face cards into steel cards. It feels bad, you may not generate enough steel cards, but Mime with a lot of steel cards is already strong. If you feel that you are safe enough, you can do that preemptively too. It will make endless harder, but on high stake, it really shouldn't be a goal x)

my run also had stuntman and the baseball card. I sold stuntman to to take baron. maybe that was my mistake

Of course I will do it right now! I am happy to help this other guy has to be rage baiting. You are clearly a good player you got to orange stake in the first place the higher stakes kind of just become a new game so you have to unlearn some things and learn some new things.

Yeah. Stuntman is arguably the strongest joker of the game. It's a bit lame, because you are forced to play high card (or pair), but it's so strong and you only need to find some mult jokers to win. And Baseball even make Stuntman a mult joker :p

I lost on ante 8 with banner bull supernova ramen with +10 mult and card sharp I played 51 high cards haha it is tough but winnable. I just didnt play optimally i was only under the score needed by like 30k so if I would have saved a bit more money bull wouldve won.

yeah basically ramen is really good with high card cause you dont need to discard. I almost lost on ante 5 cause i couldnt play the same hand more than once but I got through it.

First shop. I dont usually buy them that early but im glad i did because i got banner in the next shop so it made ante 1 and 2 a breeze
