Weird?, Cavendish common?

So in my last run I got the Cavendish joker for the first time (undiscovered). I couldn't believe my eyes: x3 mult with a 1 in 1000 chance to destroy after each round and it's considered a common joker?
Wow, I would qualify it as rare because it's a very strong joker that fits almost any build.

And I love this game. 9 out of 10 times I get my ass kicked but it's still an amazing game!

Cavendish has a hidden requirement of destroying the normal banana card first in that run. It will never appear otherwise.

Yup, Gros Michel has to destroy itself with the 1 chance on 4 proc at the end of each round for Cavendish to appear further into the run. Selling Gros Michel or destroying it with a Joker doesn't work. It has to destroy itself. That is why Cavendish is a common card. If it was rare or uncommon, you'd nearly never see it in a run..

And because that requirement already makes it somewhat rare, it gets a lower rarity score so you're more likely to see it as long as you break Gros Michel. It's still random, but at least you can strategise around it without it being unreasonable.

Aaaahhh....that explains it very well. Thnx guys!. But how did you guys find out about the hidden requirement?. Man this game has so much features that make my boat float.
